Family Therapy

In life, many families experience communication difficulties, power struggles, divorce and separation, children's growing need for increased independence, and a longing for love and acceptance within the family.

I offer a safe place to collaborate on issues that impact the entire family. I welcome all family members in the treatment process and I encourage an awareness of important family values, patterns of interaction among family members, and styles of communication.

Recognizing that the family is the source of belonging and autonomy, I offer support and perspective to family members, and together we identify and address problems. Efforts are made to enhance healthy family connections by understanding the attachments that exist between parents and children and by appreciating how those attachments affect the entire family's functioning. Even small changes can make major differences in how children and parents feel and interact with each other.
